Natajah ‘Tajah’ Burton is a stunning model/businesswoman and in an exclusive interview she shares her experiences as an out lesbian in Hollywood, dishes on past dates with A-listers, tells all about swinging sex parties and claims people would be “shocked and stunned” by what she has seen and what she knows about many of today’s most popular celebrities.
Mediatakeout.com published the following: “A friend of mine introduced me to this Barbadian pop R & B artist a while ago. I had heard her music numerous times and was a fan of her unique sound. I jokingly told him I wanted to talk to her. He told me on the sly that he wasn’t sure she was into women but that he would confirm.”
The alleged transcript goes on to claim that numbers were exchanged, the two women had an “instant connection” and that “sex came up immediately, she was a freak.”
Tajah had an affair with a “famous female R & B artist” but refused to name names as she does not want to be responsible for outing people against their wishes.
However, she shared that the unnamed artist was “amazing” and that they “really hit it off” that she was actually “one of the reasons I started writing my book – she was that voice, that light into my life.”
Tajah said that she believes the singer had dated women before and that they had a passionate fling that ended when their schedules became busy and it was difficult to find time to see each other – she says that they still remained in contact with each other though after the affair ended.
Tajah told that she also dated “a very well known actress, a lot older, who also worked as a model” and a “well known female reality TV star.”
She says that the actress, a very well respected figure in the African American community, was not officially out as a lesbian but that it was the “worst kept secret in Hollywood.”
Burton says that she is not surprised by the reticence of celebrities to come out of the closet, detailing her own experience as an African American lesbian trying to make it in the Entertainment Industry.
She says she encountered prejudice, name calling and gay slurs and claimed that she was once turned down by casting agents for VH1’s Ultimate Catch reality show because she was an “overly proud lesbian.”
However, Tajah says that she wishes that in these times of bulling and gay bashing that more celebrities would be willing to open up about their own sexuality, especially in the African American community.
“Young black gays don’t have any positive role models to look up to,” she said. “White kids have Ellen and Rosie O’Donnell, but black kids don’t have anyone.
“There is still so much homophobia in the African American community, and it is beyond tough to come out – when I did I was called all manner of names, I had guys throwing condoms at me in the street, I was called fa***t, carpet muncher, I was told I was going to hell.”
Tajah goes on to share that from her experience a lot more African Americans are gay than people would ever suspect, and that she was shocked by how many NFL and NBA athletes that she discovered were “on the down low.”
“I was blown away by how many athletes are gay,” she told “I would go to parties and see these major league football and basketball stars... with guys. I guess it was all the more shocking to me because these guys have such a supposed ‘macho’ image, you don’t expect to find out they are into other men.”
Amusingly, Tajah says that it was actually on a double date with NFL star Reggie Bush that she enjoyed her first romantic experience with a woman.
“I was on a double date with Reggie, who I went to school with,” she said. “I was dancing with him and then I went to the ladies room and when I returned he had totally moved onto some other girl! But then I ran into this woman and we had like, crazy chemistry and the next thing you know we started making out!”
Having been the victim of domestic abuse growing up, being alienated from her family because of her sexual orientation and dating several well known celebrities Tajah says she’s experienced a lot in life.
But when it comes to parties in Hollywood Tajah says she really had her eyes opened to what goes on!
“I was absolutely amazed at what went on at Hollywood parties,” she said. “I wasn’t used to that scene and it blew me way what went on behind closed doors.
“Some of the parties were total swinger parties and there would be famous actresses, that are supposedly straight, making out with other women, men making out with men – anything goes – and a butler would walk around with a huge bowl of cocaine for guests to help themselves to.
“I had heard all these stories about what went on at these wild parties but seeing it firsthand was totally eye opening!
“There was drugs and drink everywhere and everyone was completely loaded. The parties were all very, very private and strictly invite only. You were not allowed to take your cell phone or camera inside and there would be security guards patrolling all night to make sure no one had sneaked anything in. Every precaution was taken to make sure nothing leaked out about hat was happening inside.
So, why has Tajeh decided to go public with her story now?
“I feel it’s my duty to bring awareness to people that may be struggling with their sexuality that there are a lot of people that they may look up to that are actually, privately gay themselves. When I was growing up within a Christian family I prayed every night not to be gay and it was a tough time for me, I felt I had no one to look up to.”
Meantime, Tajah is concentrating on a new business venture, launching a modeling/booking agency called Evolutionary Talent. The agency has a division called Out of the Box which in particular caters towards the gay community.
