Selena Gomez asked her fans on twitter to help the victims of the recent tornados in the USA by donating $10 to Save the Children.
She wrote, “Help those effected by the tornados. Donate $10 to @SavetheChildren’s Southeast U.S. division by texting “Twister” to 20222 #tornado.”
In addition to literacy, nutrition and education campaigns, Save the Children also provides disaster response. Right now Save the Children is on the ground in Alabama and Mississippi. So far, they have helped over 4,400 children by providing services like distributing shoes, diapers, cribs and providing psychosocial training to help the kids get through this difficult time.
This isn’t the first time Gomez has taken to twitter to ask her fans to support a cause. Back in March Gomez did the same thing to help raise money for disaster relief in Japan.
