Megan Fox is in negotiations to star alongside Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann in Judd Apatow's latest directing vehicle for Universal.
Rudd and Mann are reprising their characters of husband and wife from Apatow's Knocked Up in a new story by the writer-director.
The surprising news that Megan Fox was in talks to co-star in the upcoming spinoff of Apatow's 2007 hit, "Knocked Up." Fox's part is being kept under wraps, but she was closing in on a deal for some sort of role.
Taking the rumors into his own hands, Apatow seemingly confirmed the chatter via Twitter on Wednesday night. Amongst a series of tweets on varying subjects, Apatow retweeted a link to a FirstShowing article about Fox's involvement, and then retweeted a fan tweet which said, "i am SO excited to see Megan in your film. it is such an interesting choice alongside rudd and your wife but i love this idea!!"
It's more vagueness from Apatow, who has yet to be very forthcoming with the details of this film. Set to star Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann, the hilarious co-starring couple from the original, Seth Rogen and Katherine Heigl-focused film, Apatow has remained mum on details.
"It is just a story from Pete and Debbie's current life," he said in January. "People really responded to their characters and problems. I felt like there was a lot of ground I could explore with them, so we'll be shooting in July and will come out the following June. There are some fun details yet to reveal but I will let them come out slowly."
This is bound to be a more successful project for Fox than her newest upcoming movie; her film with Mickey Rourke, "Passion Play," is set for a very limited release before going to DVD in May.
